The Fabrique de la paroisse Notre-Dame de Montréal

Founded in 1678, the Sulpicians created the canonical institution of Notre-Dame de Montréal parish.

Montréal's mother church, Notre-Dame de Montréal Basilica, and Canada's largest cemetery, Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, are among the entities that make up the Fabrique to this day. These two heritage sites are an integral part of the founding of the city of Montréal, previously known as Ville-Marie, in 1642.

The ashes of the deceased can thus be returned fully and quickly to nature, and loved ones can mourn around the growing tree, chosen from a selection of native species adapted to the area's environment.
